Burton "Buck" Brennan, 76, of Carmi, Ill., passed away Friday, March 22, 2013, at Deaconess Hospital.

He was born Jan. 12, 1937, in Hailey, Idaho, the son of James and Betty (Maloney) Brennan.

He married Lyndel Hertlein on Feb. 24, 1957, at Emmanuel United Methodist Church.

He is a retired chief master sergeant from the Air Force, serving 31 years. He then worked in Albany, Ore., with the parole and probation office.

In addition to his wife, Lyndel, surviving are his daughters, Debra (Miguel) Santos and Dawn (Joe) Ellingson; granddaughters, Desiree Santos and Olivia Ellingson; sisters, Joyce (Roger) Williamson, Faye Beasley and Linda (Steve) Hanson; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside burial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, at Maple Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans and will be accepted at the funeral home.
