Perry Lee Deneau , age 60, passed away, Tuesday, August 8, 2017. He was born January 4, 1957 in Easton, Maryland to Forrest Deneau and Dorothy (Lee) Lane.

Mr. Deneau graduated from Colonel Richardson High School, Federalsburg, Maryland. He received Bachelor of Science Degrees from Wayland Baptist University and a Master’s Degree from Troy State University.

He was commissioned in 1986 upon completion of Officer’s Training School, Lackland AFB, Texas. Following graduation from the 325th Technical Training Weapons Controller School, Tyndall, AFB, Florida, he was assigned to the 607th Tactical Control Training Squadron, Luke AFB, Arizona. While assigned to Luke, he served as an Instructor Controller on both the manual and 407L systems, Counter Air Tactics Awareness Training Course Instructor, Radar Control Evaluations Officer, Executive Officer and Assistant Flight Commander.

In March of 1991, Captain Deneau was assigned to Flying Squadron Two, NATO Airborne Early Warning Force (AWACS), Geilenkirchen, Germany, where he served as an Instructor Senior Director and Instructor Weapon Controller. He also held the positions of Chief, Current Operations and Long Range Planning, Executive Officer and NATO Exercise Liaison Officer.

Upon returning from overseas, Captain Deneau was assigned to the 325th Training Squadron, Tyndall AFB, Florida as Flight Commander for International Training.

Mr. Deneau’s military decorations include the Aerial Achievement Medal with seven oak leaf clusters, Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, Air Force Achievement Medal, and the Combat Readiness Medal with one oak leaf cluster.

Mr. Deneau owned and operated the Corner Café in DeFuniak Springs and was devoted to his work and to his customers along with his wife Gina.

Mr. Deaneau was preceded in death by his father, Forrest Deneau and step-mother, Lorraine Deneau and one sister, Debbie McKittrick.

Mr. Deneau is survived by his mother, Dorothy Lane and husband Jack of Maryland; his loving wife of 38 years, Gina Marie Deneau of DeFuniak Springs; three children, Christina Parrish and husband Scott of Missouri, Arianna Deneau of Chipley, Florida and Jonathan Deneau and wife Lacey of Chipley, Florida; one brother, Troy Deneau of Maryland; two sisters, Laura Edwards and husband Howard of Maryland and Dawn Deneau of Maryland; six grandchildren, Isaac Parrish, Noah Parrish, Preston Dillard, Addison Dillard, Rueben Deneau and Jack Deneau; as well as numerous other beloved family and friends.

Family will be receiving friends from 10:00 AM~12:00 PM, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel; 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverends Ed Jenkins and David Ellis officiating, with military honors, by the United States Air Force.

Flowers are being accepted or donations may be made to the Perry L. Deneau Scholarship Fund at Army Aviation Federal Credit Union at 1421 United States 331, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.
