35th Anniversary sketch

All - Attached is a sketch that Darby drew up. I sort of depicts one of the scenes we discussed a few week back. below the E-3 in the back ground are a couple of Connies and an E-3 Core version. The jet taking of will be a Block 30-35. Let me know what you think.

If you have some ideas of your own post them here so everyone can see them visually and comment.

Or maybe forget the oldies and have an E-3B/C 30-35 Mod with a Aussie Wedgetail and a E-2D in formation with a suitable landmark in the background (Golden Gate Bridge, etc.)

We've already contacted Darby Perrin and told him we want to commission him to paint the 35th Anniversary print. Several of the suggestions centered around an E-3 either landing or taking off and some older AEW aircraft in the background parked on the ramp. I'm partial to an E-3 landing with the Tinker Base Ops hander in the background and the AEW aircraft on the ramp. An EC-121, E-2C and maybe a NAEW E-3 and an RAF E-3D. Could be titled "Coming Home" or "The Welcoming Committee".
