Here's an interesting AEW design using a Navy P-3 Orion. Not sure of the when and where this baby flew. Anyone out there have any ideas?

I believe this P-3B is used for missile telemetry tracking off of the west coast. It was based at Pt Mugu.

That was one of the USN's specially instrumented Pacific Missile Range
aircraft. Telemetry tracking antennas were inside the "tail-fin" fairing.
