I worked this program while a member of the Joint Test Force in Seattle. The potential of this plane is increadible, the MESA radar is definately the way to go in the future. The capabilities this airframe will have over the E-3 are hugh. Although the catch is, they must get the computer interface to work the way the planners have proposed. I really hope they do, and the US builds on this concept for the E-10.

When I first started doing the research on the MESA Radar and the Wedgetail while preparing the AEW Seminars I gave back in 1999 and 2000 I was blown away with the capabilities. I thought of how it would have been to have had those same capabilities on many missions that I'd flow. Including the first Gulf War. Wow, what a difference it would have made. Just imagine what you could do at a Green Flag! The crews who get to fly this beauty are some lucky dawgs!

Candyman - If you can say, what are the problems they are/were having computer interface?
